Live-in Domestic Couple – Housekeeper/Cook & Groundsman

About the role

This live‑in position is for a dedicated domestic couple to support a private family estate in Surrey. Working closely with the House Manager, the couple will share responsibilities for household management, cooking, animal care and estate upkeep, ensuring the home and grounds are always welcoming and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and wardrobe management.
• Preparation of nutritious family meals, menu planning, grocery shopping and kitchen organisation.
• Care for a range of animals including horses, alpacas, chickens, peacocks, sheep and dogs.
• Routine estate maintenance, repairs, fencing, grounds mowing and seasonal clearance.
• Vehicle and equipment servicing coordination and workshop organisation.
• Estate presentation, including driveways, terraces, pathways and outdoor entertaining areas.
• Act as key holder and oversee the property during family absences.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a private household or comparable environment.
• Strong housekeeping and laundry abilities.
• Confident family cook with menu planning experience.
• High level of organisation, discretion and professionalism.
• Comfortable working with animals and performing basic maintenance tasks.
• Current DBS check and child‑friendly attitude.
