Live-in Housekeeper/Cook – Surrey

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, professional and personable live‑in Housekeeper/Cook to join a welcoming family in Surrey. Working alongside the existing House Manager, you will maintain the household to the highest standards while preparing fresh, healthy meals for the family.

Key responsibilities

• Daily cleaning, tidying and presentation of all rooms, including care for fine furnishings and antiques.
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe and linen management.
• Planning menus, grocery shopping, food storage and organising the kitchen.
• Preparing nutritious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, as well as batch cooking for family use.
• Setting up the home for guests and occasional entertaining.
• Feeding and walking the family’s dogs and looking after any other animals.
• Supporting the House Manager in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the household.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a private household setting.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Passion for cooking simple, healthy family meals.
• Proactive, flexible and discreet attitude.
• Comfortable caring for animals and walking dogs.
• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £45,000–£47,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Separate, comfortable live‑in accommodation.
• Full‑time schedule Tuesday to Saturday, 8 am–6 pm with breaks.
