About the role

A private family of four in Bayswater is seeking an experienced live‑in housekeeper to maintain a high‑standard home environment and provide occasional evening childcare support. The role offers a private bedroom with en‑suite bathroom and a flexible schedule that adapts when the family is on holiday.

Key responsibilities

• Full housekeeping of a five‑bedroom residence, including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining high standards throughout the home.
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and linen care.
• Changing bed linen and overseeing bedroom presentation.
• Organising cupboards, storage areas and household systems.
• Grocery shopping and managing household supplies, monitoring and replenishing essentials.
• Keeping the kitchen organised and tidy.
• Providing occasional wrap‑around childcare in the early evening, supervising dinner and assisting with bath time.
• Comfortably interacting with the family’s Cocker Spaniel and assisting as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a private household.
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing abilities.
• Proactive, organised and detail‑oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Calm, warm and professional manner when interacting with young children and a pet.
• Flexible attitude with a desire to become a long‑term member of the household.

• Competitive salary of £46,000‑£50,000 per year.
