Loan Settlements Senior Analyst Assistant Vice President

About the role

Citi is seeking a seasoned professional to join its loan settlements team as a Senior Analyst at Assistant Vice President level. The role focuses on the settlement of LMA par trades in the secondary loan market and the ongoing maintenance of commitments with agent banks across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily settlements of LMA par trades closed in the secondary market.
• Service and accurately book commitments held with agent banks, including drawdowns, rate fixings, fees and sub‑participations.
• Handle scheduled and unscheduled events, resolving complex issues in line with internal guidelines.
• Liaise with loan closers, counterparties, agent banks and internal departments to ensure timely, professional settlement.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the settlement team, acting as a referral point for queries.
• Support the Section Head in strategic decision‑making and reporting using workflow tools.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of the loan market and extensive experience in trade settlements and loan administration.
• Proven ability to manage a varied portfolio of loans and provide supervisory oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
