Loans Closing Operations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Loans Closing Operations Specialist to join the Credit Loans Middle Office Team in London. The role supports the origination, syndication and secondary market trading of both performing and non‑performing loans, ensuring accurate trade capture, settlement and risk position integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor trading systems for new trades and confirm details with external clients.
• Draft, review and negotiate transfer documentation, including trade confirmations and transfer certificates.
• Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading Desks, Agency and Servicing teams to obtain approvals, agree pricing/cash‑flows and reconcile settlements.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of risk positions and resolve any trade settlement issues.
• Support the full loan lifecycle, including trade capture, funding, amendments, restructurings and reconciliations.

Required profile

• Experience with distressed loans, non‑performing loans (NPLs), leveraged loans or special situations in an investment‑banking environment.
• Middle‑office operations experience with a strong understanding of the loan lifecycle.
• Ability to interpret loan credit agreements, transfer documentation and trade confirmations.
• Demonstrated experience in loan closing, servicing or agency supporting primary and secondary loan markets.

What we offer

• Day rate of £250‑£375 (depending on experience) via an umbrella company.
• Initial 6‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
• On‑site work in London, Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑18:30.
