Local Growth & Field Community Lead

About the role

Lightspeed is seeking a Local Growth & Field Community Lead to connect hyper‑locally with hospitality customers and prospects across key UK cities. The role blends event planning, content creation and relationship management to make Lightspeed the top‑of‑mind tech partner.

Key responsibilities

• Map and enlist respected existing customers as “anchors” to host events that attract prospects and industry influencers.
• Identify and build relationships with external stakeholders such as prospects, influencers and trade associations to create a strong local network.
• Ideate, execute and measure high‑energy local gatherings (breakfasts, lunches, late‑night networking) hosted at customer sites.
• Capture raw customer stories on‑site with a phone, collaborating with the social team to produce video snippets and case studies.
• Keep local field sales materials up‑to‑date with fresh data and stories gathered from the cities.
• Collaborate with Regional Integrated Marketing Managers, Field Sales teams, Account Managers, Product Marketing, Social Media Specialists and Partnership Marketing to turn activities into revenue.

Required profile

• Proven ability to act as a connector, combining event planning, content creation and relationship management.
• Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with multiple internal teams.
• Strong focus on translating offline activities into measurable online growth and sales impact.
• Ability to set targets for awareness, attendance, leads and demos in specific cities.
