Locum Consultant – General Medicine

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant to join the General Medicine department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role involves delivering high‑quality inpatient care across three wards and participating in a rota that includes weekends and on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general medical care to in‑patients on wards 105, 110 and 308.
• Work within a rotating schedule that covers weekends and on‑call commitments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC (must be in place before start).
• Enthusiasm, dedication and a proactive attitude towards service improvement.
• Willingness to work full‑time or part‑time on a fixed‑term (one‑year) contract.
