About the role
We are seeking a qualified Educational Psychologist to join our client on a locum basis in Hertfordshire. This flexible, outside‑IR35 position allows you to schedule your own days while delivering statutory assessments that help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct statutory educational psychology assessments for pupils as required.
- Prepare clear, evidence‑based reports and recommendations for schools and families.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate records in line with statutory guidelines.
- Manage a caseload of at least one assessment per month.
Required profile
- Qualified Educational Psychologist.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Availability to complete a minimum of one assessment each month.
- Experience with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues is desirable.
Required skills
- Ability to conduct comprehensive educational assessments.
- Strong report‑writing and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of statutory frameworks governing educational psychology.
- Effective communication with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
