Locum Educational Psychologist – Kent (Flexible)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Educational Psychologist to work on a locum basis in Kent. The role focuses on delivering statutory assessments for students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You will enjoy a flexible schedule, allowing you to choose the number of days you work each week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct statutory educational psychology assessments for pupils.
• Produce clear, evidence‑based reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with schools, teachers, and families to implement support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
• Participate in Reed’s educational psychology network and forums.

Required profile

• Qualified in Educational Psychology.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Availability to complete at least one assessment per month.
• Experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues is desirable.

Required skills

• Statutory assessment delivery.
• Report writing and documentation.
• Strong understanding of SEMH considerations.
