Locum Private Client Solicitor

About the role

This temporary position supports a well‑established private client practice in Essex during the busy summer months. The successful solicitor will join an experienced team and manage a range of private client matters from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute wills and lasting powers of attorney.
• Handle applications for Grants of Representation and full estate administration.
• Manage Court of Protection applications.
• Conduct client matters, supervise support staff and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Oversee financial management of client files, including billing and collection of monies.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the private client department.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in private client work.
• Proven ability to manage the full remit of private client matters.
• Capable of taking ownership of cases at various stages and delivering tailored solutions.
• Strong organisational and client‑focused approach.
