Logistics Administrator – 5‑day Week (Thu‑Mon)

About the role

The client needs a Logistics Administrator to support a busy period, working Thursday to Monday, 9 am‑5 pm. You will coordinate end‑to‑end transport bookings with third‑party logistics providers, UK growers and packhouse dispatch points, ensuring service, compliance and cost targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Secure and manage transport capacity with contracted 3PLs for inbound, outbound and inter‑site movements.
• Accurately book transport, confirm collection times and communicate ETAs to growers, packhouses and customers.
• Support load planning to maximise pallet utilisation and minimise empty mileage.
• Administer inbound/outbound loads for Driscoll’s, partners and suppliers, handling documentation and claims.
• Coordinate uplift and returns of rejected fruit within tight timeframes to maximise salvage value.
• Maintain accurate data entry, KPI reporting and analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics or transport administration, preferably within food or agricultural supply chains.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with growers, hauliers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyse data and produce clear performance reports.
