Logistics Assistant

About the role

Join a busy manufacturing operation as a Logistics Assistant, responsible for the smooth flow of materials through receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. You will support both domestic and international shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, store, pick, pack and dispatch materials safely and accurately.
• Prepare and process import/export paperwork, including commercial invoices, packing lists and customs documents.
• Liaise with couriers, freight forwarders and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and collections.
• Maintain stock records and perform inventory transactions using the AX system.
• Carry out cycle counts, stock checks and daily perpetual counting to uphold inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and keep the warehouse area tidy and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
• Support compliance with import/export controls and company policies.

Required profile

• Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal departments and external partners.
• Awareness of health and safety practices in material handling.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the AX inventory management system.
• Knowledge of import and export documentation processes.
