Logistics Coordinator

About the role

SkySpecs is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support its Inspection Services team across Europe. You will ensure that drones, rovers and related equipment are available to pilots and technicians exactly when and where they are needed, operating in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ship, receive, configure, maintain and document drone and rover equipment between depots, pilots and project sites.
• Review schedules, anticipate project needs and adjust equipment allocations across the UK and Europe.
• Create and manage shipping documentation, including carnets, customs paperwork, tax forms and battery compliance.
• Track and resolve shipping errors, minimise customs delays and coordinate with the US logistics coordinator.
• Procure new equipment and parts through the procurement process.
• Perform statutory PPE inspections to ensure LOLER compliance.
• Assemble and maintain equipment (drones, crawlers, cameras, firmware, PPE) per engineering guidelines.
• Monitor regional logistics budget, report on costs, timelines and productivity, and optimise equipment placement.
• Work with 3rd‑party suppliers and OEMs for L2/L3 equipment servicing.
• Secure equipment in the Newcastle storage facility and provide coverage for other back‑office staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience coordinating asset logistics for a field‑service organization.
• Hands‑on experience with robotics, drones, ROVs or similar inspection equipment.
• Proven ability to ship lithium batteries in compliance with IATA/IMDG regulations.
• Knowledge of UK/EU import‑export procedures, carnets and T1/T2 documentation.
• Must be present at the Newcastle facility daily (onsite role).
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.

• UPS, DHL or equivalent international shipping platforms.
• Customs documentation, carnets, T1/T2 paperwork.
• IATA and IMDG battery shipping compliance.
• Google Workspace, Salesforce (or equivalent), BI tools.
• Equipment assembly and maintenance for drones, rovers and PPE.
• LOLER compliance for PPE inspections.
