Logistics Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead our logistics team in Leeds. You’ll lead a high‑performing team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with all legal and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing logistics team.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Manage depot operations, including rota planning, staffing, and cost control.
• Deliver against KPIs and OGSM targets.
• Drive customer service excellence for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure legal compliance for drivers and vehicles.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and disciplinary procedures.
• Promote wellbeing, diversity and inclusivity events at site level.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level transport operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• ICT proficiency and data‑driven decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• CPC licence.
• Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence.
• IOSH certification.
• ICT proficiency.
