Logistics Porter & Trainee Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Porter / Trainee Service Technician to be based at Whittington Hospital in Islington, with travel to Medstrom customers across London. The role involves delivering, setting up, maintaining and repairing medical devices, ensuring timely service to hospital staff and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clean, ready‑to‑use products around the hospital site and collect used items for return.
• Disinfect, function‑check, repair and electrically safety‑test equipment after full training.
• Maintain product stock and spare‑parts inventory, completing records in the computerised system.
• Provide product demonstrations and basic training to clinical staff.
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy.

Required profile

• Mechanical or electrical background (desirable, training provided).
• Experience in a healthcare setting or familiarity with medical device products (desirable).
• Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Basic PC proficiency, including email and MS Office.
