About the role
We are seeking a Logistics Team Leader to manage a busy driver team in Gloucester. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed on time, and maintaining high service standards. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 04:30 pm on a temporary contract.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, allocate and monitor driver workloads to meet agreed timeframes.
- Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Respond to customer queries and maintain strong relationships with partner organisations.
- Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are upheld.
- Support operational excellence across the service.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading a driver or logistics team.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure.

What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £17.85 (PAYE).
- Fixed‑term temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
