Logistics Team Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Team Supervisor will manage the day‑to‑day operations of a busy same‑day courier office, supporting the Logistics Team Manager and acting as the primary point of contact for customers, drivers and the office team. This hands‑on, desk‑based role ensures orders move smoothly from enquiry to delivery while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise inbound calls, email inbox, bookings, quotes and customer issues.
• Oversee live orders from initial enquiry through to successful delivery for 50‑70 drivers daily.
• Plan and control driver capacity, balancing customer service, inbound sales and driver management.
• Recruit, onboard and train local courier fleet members.
• Make rapid decisions with incomplete information and handle escalations calmly.
• Maintain accountability for service quality and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced B2B logistics or courier office environment.
• Comfortable working directly with customers, phones and live order flows.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and confidence making decisions under pressure.
• Ability to lead a mixed team of customer‑facing and driver‑facing staff.
