About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a high‑achieving secondary school in Durham on a long‑term supply basis. The role starts in September 2026 and runs through Easter 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to inspire and develop students' mathematical understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that align with the national curriculum.
• Use innovative teaching methods and practical applications to foster a love of mathematics.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Maths Teacher in a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with students, colleagues and parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
