Long-Term Supply Secondary Teacher Positions

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is partnering with a network of secondary schools across the North West and Greater Manchester to recruit teachers for long‑term supply assignments starting in September 2026. The role offers flexible, paid‑weekly contracts for qualified teachers who wish to gain experience or enjoy a better work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings and wider school activities as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific knowledge for the assigned discipline.
