Long/Short Equity Analyst – Artificial Intelligence

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Long/Short Equity Analyst to focus on the global Artificial Intelligence ecosystem. Working within a lean, high‑performing investment team, you will partner closely with the Portfolio Manager to generate high‑conviction ideas and influence capital allocation decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep fundamental coverage across AI‑related sectors such as semiconductors, infrastructure, hyperscalers, networking, enterprise software and AI applications.
• Generate differentiated long and short investment ideas through proprietary research, financial modelling and industry analysis.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts and valuation frameworks for AI‑focused companies.
• Monitor technological developments, product roadmaps, competitive positioning and supply‑chain dynamics to uncover opportunities.
• Present investment recommendations directly to the Portfolio Manager and assist with portfolio construction, position sizing and ongoing exposure monitoring.
• Engage with company management, industry experts and alternative data sources to enrich investment insights.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in equity research, preferably on the buy‑side or at a hedge fund.
• Demonstrated coverage of companies within the AI ecosystem, including software, semiconductors and networking.
• Strong analytical abilities, rigorous financial modelling skills and a track record of generating high‑conviction ideas.
