Low-Latency C++ Engineer – Electronic Trading Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Low‑Latency C++ Engineer to join a high‑performance team building the core technology stack of a fully automated electronic trading platform that operates across global markets. The role focuses on designing, implementing and optimising real‑time market data, order execution and exchange connectivity components.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop low‑latency trading system components using modern C++.
• Build and maintain high‑performance exchange connectivity, including market‑data and order‑execution pathways.
• Engineer real‑time systems that meet strict performance, reliability and correctness requirements.
• Optimise end‑to‑end trading infrastructure to achieve microsecond‑level latency.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to translate requirements into production‑grade solutions.
• Debug and analyse live production issues, including exchange behaviour and trading anomalies.
• Extend internal platforms that support simulation, research and live‑trading environments.

Required profile

• Strong experience in production C++ development (modern C++ preferred).
• Deep understanding of low‑level software concepts such as memory management, concurrency and performance optimisation.
• Experience with high‑performance, distributed or real‑time systems.
• Proven problem‑solving ability in complex production environments.
• Comfortable working across the full stack, from system‑level design to implementation details.
• Familiarity with Linux‑based development environments.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within high‑performing technical teams.
