About the role
This part‑time position supports pupils aged 4‑16 at a large SEND specialist school in Lewisham. Working each school day from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, you will help children with feeding, personal care and supervised play.
Key responsibilities
- Assist students with lunchtime meals and any required personal care.
- Supervise playground activities, guiding games and ensuring safety.
- Provide a calm, supportive environment for pupils with ASD and PMLD needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and follow each child’s ECHP plan.
Required profile
- Enthusiasm for working with children in a SEND setting.
- Reliability and ability to work the 11:30‑13:30 slot five days a week (flexibility for fewer days is possible).
- Willingness to undertake additional hours as a Teaching Assistant if required.
