M5 Traffic Management Operative

About the role

FM Conway is seeking a full‑time, permanent M5 Traffic Management Operative to join its Traffic Management division at the Sevenoaks depot. You will work a mix of day and night shifts, setting up, maintaining and removing temporary traffic lights on road projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install temporary traffic lights and assist with traffic diversions.
• Maintain and remove traffic lights within required time‑frames.
• Manage traffic flow at temporary light sites, ensuring public compliance.
• Carry out on‑site safety assessments and follow emergency procedures.
• Work closely with management and crew, taking instructions as required.
• Be available on a rota for out‑of‑hours on‑call duty.

Required profile

• Knowledge of traffic management operations.
• Valid CSCS card.
• M5 traffic management Lantra ticket.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Familiarity with RAMS documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
