M&A Advisor – New Business Development

About the role

We are seeking a driven M&A Advisor to generate new business for Capital & Trust, the UK’s leading buy‑side M&A broker for professional services. You will work from our Leadenhall Street office, building relationships with owners of accountancy, wealth management, insurance and legal firms and guiding them through the sale process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct direct outreach – cold and warm calls, emails and LinkedIn – to business owners in target sectors.
• Attend industry networking events, conferences and client meetings across the UK.
• Manage the full transaction lifecycle from initial conversation to completion.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with sellers and institutional buyers.
• Screen clients, analyse financial information and advise on deal structures.
• Participate in ongoing training and sector development programmes.

Required profile

• Degree from a strong university.
• Several years of experience in a commercial, client‑facing or advisory role.
• Excellent verbal communication with senior business owners.
• Comfortable with direct business development and a performance‑based bonus model.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work five days a week on‑site.

Required skills

• Strong Excel proficiency.
