M&A Reporter – Europe (Future Role)

About the role

Gain is building a pipeline for a future M&A Reporter focused on Europe. The role will create a proprietary, real‑time dataset of European M&A transactions by gathering off‑record intelligence from high‑trust sources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network of investment bankers, private‑equity sponsors, advisors, lenders and lawyers.
• Conduct daily confidential conversations to capture non‑public deal details such as bidders, valuation ranges, advisors, lenders and rationale.
• Identify and monitor live and upcoming M&A transactions across the European region.
• Transform raw insights into clean, machine‑readable datapoints that feed directly into the Gain platform.
• Collaborate closely with internal analysts and research teams to ensure data completeness, consistency and structured formatting.

Required profile

• Strong ability to build and sustain high‑trust relationships with market participants.
• Excellent communication skills for background‑only, off‑record discussions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality, structured data.
• Interest in private‑equity and M&A markets.
