M&A Tax Manager

About the role

Join a global consulting firm as a Manager in the M&A Tax team, leading tax projects linked to complex business transactions. You will advise clients on acquisitions, demergers, carve‑outs, recapitalisations, financing, public offerings and equity raisings, working closely with leading private‑equity partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax aspects of M&A transactions, including acquisitions, demergers, carve‑outs, recapitalisations and public offerings.
• Provide tax advice to private‑equity clients and corporate sponsors throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Coordinate with legal, finance and deal teams to identify tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage engagement economics, budgeting and client expectations.
• Mentor and lead junior tax professionals on project delivery.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience in M&A, Deals or Corporate Tax, preferably from a Big 4 firm.
• Strong organisational abilities with capacity to prioritise multiple deadlines.
• Proven track record of delivering tax solutions in complex transactions.
• Ambitious, driven and comfortable working autonomously.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK M&A tax legislation and structuring.
• Experience with tax due‑diligence, integration planning and post‑deal compliance.
