Machine Operator – 4 on 4 off shifts

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join a well‑established manufacturing company in Bedford. You will work on a 4‑on‑4‑off rotational shift pattern, handling both day and night production runs while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and diagnose machinery to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot process faults promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and pre‑start HACCP checks.
• Maintain product quality to specification and meet daily production targets.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Support additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Reliable, target‑driven and physically fit for work across multiple floors and heights.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety.
• Problem‑solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
• GCSE or equivalent qualification.
