Machine Operator – Digital Print Production

About the role

The Machine Operator is essential to ensuring personalised card orders are printed, assembled and dispatched accurately and on time. You will work with digital print equipment and automated inserters in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate digital print machines to produce personalised cards, monitoring quality and making adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance on print and inserter equipment.
• Set up and run auto‑inserter machines for folding cards and inserting them into envelopes.
• Match printed card pages with envelopes using control sheets or barcode systems, adjusting settings to maintain speed and quality.
• Clear jams, identify faults and escalate issues when required.
• Conduct quality‑control checks to prevent mismatches, missing inserts or print defects.
• Follow health and safety procedures, keep the work area clean and handle paper stock and consumables safely.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and ability to follow set processes.
• Comfortable operating machinery and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a hands‑on production setting.
• Reliable, punctual, safety‑conscious and calm under pressure.
• Team‑player with a flexible, “can‑do” attitude and willingness to learn multiple machines.
