Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our production team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role is based in St Neots and offers a structured 12‑hour rotating shift pattern with extended days off, providing a stable environment for long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
• Set up, start, shut down, and change over production lines according to standard operating procedures.
• Adjust machine settings to optimise performance and product quality.
• Inspect and test products regularly to maintain quality standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Follow health, safety and operational procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
• Ability to follow detailed operating instructions.
• Good problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
