Machine Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a well‑established manufacturing firm in Newton Aycliffe. The role involves overseeing production machines, ensuring smooth operation, and contributing to a fast‑paced, quality‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee production machines to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform basic machine setting and programming.
• Add plastic film, inks and dies to rolls according to specifications.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Use hand tools to set tooling parameters.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain QA standards.
• Produce parts in line with production plans and work orders.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections and ongoing quality audits.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong focus on quality and ability to meet high standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Consistent, accurate and diligent in following procedures.
• Physically fit for handling heavy products.

• Continental hours – 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off.
