Machine Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a well‑established textile manufacturing client that produces high‑quality headwear. The role is based in Calder Vale and includes full training on the weaving line, with the opportunity to develop additional skills and progress to a rotating continental shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Operate weaving machinery efficiently and safely.
• Assist with yarn preparation to meet production standards.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials.
• Carry out initial product inspections and regular quality checks.
• Report any non‑conformances through the proper channels.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Required profile

• Manual dexterity and the ability to stand for long periods.
• Capability to lift moderate loads as required.
• Own transport is essential due to the remote location.
• Willingness to work day shifts during training and later rotate between day and night continental shifts.
