Machine Operator – Production & Maintenance (Shift)

About the role

Join a well‑established manufacturing firm in Newton Aycliffe as a Machine Operator. You will work on 12‑hour day and night shifts, ensuring production machines run smoothly and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Overview and monitor production machines during shifts.
• Perform basic machine setting, programming and add plastic film, inks and dies as required.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Use hand tools to adjust tooling and parameters.
• Follow all safety procedures and conduct first‑piece inspections and quality audits.
• Produce parts according to the production plan and work orders.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong focus on quality and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Consistent, accurate and diligent in following procedures.
• Physically fit to handle heavy products.
