About the role
As a Mail Sorter you will keep the Gatwick Mail Centre operating smoothly during the evening shift. Working 21.5‑31 hours per week, you will help process millions of letters and parcels each day, ensuring timely delivery across the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Unload mail and parcels from delivery vans.
- Transport items using trolleys and sort them manually.
- Operate sorting machinery to handle high‑volume items.
- Switch between tasks along the sorting chain while maintaining pace.
- Meet daily targets and adhere to health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Strong sense of community and pride in the work.
- Enjoys meeting targets and overcoming challenges.

- Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06.
- Paid overtime at 1.25× for hours over 37 per week.
