Maintenance Crafts Worker – Effluent Process Plant

About the role

Join a world‑renowned automotive manufacturer as a Maintenance Crafts Worker supporting the Effluent Process Plant at Ford Halewood Transmissions. You will keep critical plant equipment running safely, efficiently and reliably while working across electrical, mechanical and process systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventative maintenance on plant machinery and associated equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
• Take and analyse effluent samples to ensure compliance.
• Review maintenance data to schedule repairs, replacements and overhauls.
• Overhaul machine parts where feasible to minimise downtime.
• Identify improvement opportunities to boost OEE and plant performance.
• Investigate breakdowns and implement root‑cause fixes.
• Support 5‑Why analysis, Kaizen activities and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain plant comfort cooling systems and assist other indirect plant areas as required.

Required profile

• Completed Electrical or Mechanical Level 4 Apprenticeship.
• Hands‑on maintenance experience in a process‑plant environment.
• Proven ability to work with pumps, motors and associated control systems.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving mindset.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a competitive salary of £46,587.88 per year.
• Standard working hours Monday‑Thursday 07:00‑15:30, Friday 07:00‑12:30 with occasional shift flexibility.
