Maintenance Disrepair Supervisor (Temporary)

About the role

The company is looking for a Maintenance Disrepair Supervisor on a nine‑to‑twelve month contract to lead a team delivering repairs across the UB, TW and KT postcode areas. You will ensure all work meets statutory standards, company KPIs and budgetary constraints while maintaining a high level of safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate repair workstreams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organisational policies.
• Supervise repair teams, providing guidance to achieve high‑quality workmanship and efficiency.
• Conduct site inspections to assess repair quality and identify disrepair issues.
• Liaise with contractors, tenants and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and clear communication.
• Manage repair schedules, monitor progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
• Provide technical expertise on housing repairs and disrepair matters.
• Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within the housing sector.
• Excellent knowledge of housing repairs and disrepair processes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications in building, construction or related fields are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
• Experience using database systems such as Northgate Housing Management System or Dynamic Resource System.
• Demonstrable understanding of SHE regulations, including CDM and Asbestos.
