Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a specialist client on a permanent basis, working a continental shift system. You will be responsible for keeping production plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment safely.
• Perform electrical fault finding, testing, repair and maintenance on production machinery, control systems and site services.
• Support mechanical maintenance, equipment overhauls and planned shutdowns as required.
• Record all work, labour, parts and equipment history in the CMMS.
• Identify defects, raise work requests and contribute to root‑cause investigations.
• Assist with continuous‑improvement projects, FAT, SAT and equipment handovers.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and other departments to minimise downtime.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards and comply with H&S legislation, risk assessments, permit‑to‑work and LOTO procedures.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Multi‑Skilled Engineering.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work shift patterns, including continental shifts.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and quality standards.
