Maintenance Engineer – 3‑Shift, Up to £57,500

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a world‑class production site in Exeter. The role operates on a 3‑shift or 12‑hour continental pattern and offers top‑tier pay, strong job security and clear career progression within a financially robust organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of heavy industrial machinery.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests while prioritising the PPM schedule.
• Maintain and optimise equipment such as vacuum systems, hydraulic presses, CNC machines, X‑ray units, kilns, furnaces, automated conveyors and robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot faults and implement performance improvements.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled engineering team and uphold exemplary health & safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and safety enhancement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience with hydraulics and large‑scale production machinery.
• Ability to work a 3‑shift schedule.
• Mechanical engineering background with interest in gaining electrical qualifications.
• Commitment to health & safety and continuous professional development.
