Maintenance Engineer – 4 on 4 off shift at Heathrow

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a global leader operating at Heathrow Airport. The position follows a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, covering both day and night rotations, and offers the chance to work on state‑of‑the‑art electromechanical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and servicing of industrial machinery, including hydraulics, conveyors, motors, pneumatics and PLC systems.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Support both day (6 am‑6 pm) and night (6 pm‑6 am) shifts on a 4‑on‑4‑off roster.
• Travel occasionally to other London airports when required.
• Document work performed and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
• Willingness to undertake further training on specialised equipment.

• Salary £45,000‑£50,000 per year plus overtime (OTE up to £70k).
