Maintenance Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a leading aftermarket producer of specialist automotive parts. The role is based in Stoke‑on‑Trent and offers a dynamic, fast‑moving manufacturing environment where you will develop and apply your electrical engineering expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC benders, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Service pumps, bearings, shafts, inverters, sensors, drives and PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Implement and support Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Work within a double‑day shift system and occasional weekend overtime.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering background with hands‑on experience in manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience with PLCs and automated machinery.
• Familiarity with PPM systems and fast‑paced production environments.
