Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established manufacturing and processing business in the South East. Working within a fast‑paced production environment, you will ensure that machinery and equipment are kept to the highest standards, supporting operational efficiency and minimising downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Provide frontline maintenance support to production operations.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production and processing machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, instrumentation and mechanical faults.
• Assist with dismantling, repairing and re‑assembling equipment.
• Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company standards.

Required profile

• Recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma, NVQ Level 3, HNC).
• Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• City & Guilds 2382 certification.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
