Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our fast‑paced manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance on fully automated production lines, working within a team of 24 engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on conveyors, motors, inverters and drives.
• Work with Siemens S7 controllers and TIA Portal programming environments.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to support troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with a shift team of four engineers and a team leader on a 3‑on‑3‑off schedule.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled maintenance background with a 60:40 mechanical/electrical bias.
• Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a maintenance‑related discipline.
• Proven ability to fault‑find both mechanically and electrically.
• Experience reading mechanical and electrical schematics.
