Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mechanically‑minded Maintenance Engineer to join our Edinburgh food manufacturing site. You will support the performance and reliability of a high‑volume production line, ensuring our products reach customers across the UK. The role offers a varied technical environment with continuous improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot a diverse range of modern manufacturing equipment and site services.
• Support plant reliability through preventive maintenance and rapid fault resolution.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
• Work across multiple mechanical systems, providing hands‑on expertise and technical advice.
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety and food manufacturing excellence.

Required profile

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification, preferably obtained via an apprenticeship.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a proactive approach to learning.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a passion for high standards.
• Collaborative mindset and flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced engineering team.
