Maintenance Engineer – Multi‑Skilled (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Multi‑Skilled to join a large, well‑established manufacturing company at its Birmingham site. The role involves supporting production machinery and site equipment in a fast‑paced environment, offering opportunities for technical development and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs on production machinery.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Carry out machinery improvements, installations and project work.
• Support a wide range of manufacturing and automated equipment.
• Work across conveyors, packaging lines, bearings, belts, motors and other plant assets.

Required profile

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, relevant engineering qualifications, or significant maintenance engineering experience.
• Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, distribution, logistics or industrial settings.
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance background – multi‑skilled engineers encouraged.
• Friendly, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude to fault finding and problem solving.
