Maintenance Engineer – Multi‑Skilled (Electrical Bias)

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical focus to join a leading SME food manufacturer. The role operates Monday‑Friday with two possible shift patterns and includes a rotating Saturday paid at time‑and‑a‑half. You will ensure plant assets are reliable, safe, and capable of delivering high‑quality products on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC and inverter equipment.
• Diagnose faults, carry out corrective actions, and document work to agreed standards.
• Maintain a safe system of work, including risk assessments for all activities.
• Support production teams by coaching and training them on equipment operation and improvement.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold engineering integrity.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship‑trained or holding a technical qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3 / BTEC Engineering or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer
