Maintenance Engineer – Multi‑Skilled (Electrical Focus)

About the role

This is a permanent position with a leading heavy‑industrial manufacturing organisation based in Portbury. The role offers a chance to work within a skilled engineering team, maintain critical plant equipment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and breakdown response for manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure smooth operation of plant assets and minimise downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Support shift work on a 4‑on, 4‑off pattern.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled maintenance professional with a strong electrical bias.
• Hold an electrical qualification or equivalent certification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy‑industrial environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Electrical systems (including 3‑phase electics).
• Hydraulic system knowledge.
• Pneumatic system knowledge.
• PLC fault‑finding experience.
