Maintenance Engineer – Raisby Quarry

About the role

Breedon Group plc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Raisby Quarry in Durham. You will work hands‑on to diagnose, repair and prevent mechanical failures, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and rectify mechanical defects and breakdowns on quarry equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Team Leader to improve plant reliability and safety.
• Plan and execute plant improvement and maintenance projects.
• Work alongside contractors and internal teams to provide effective maintenance support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an industrial maintenance role.
• NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3/4 in Health and Safety or NEBOSH qualification (advantageous).
