Maintenance Handyman – Student Accommodation (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Handyman to join a busy student accommodation site in Brighton for the summer period. You will play a key part in delivering a comfortable living experience by handling maintenance and repair requests promptly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests via internal systems
• Carry out general repairs, including plumbing, decorating and joinery
• Support both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas
• Identify and address health & safety risks
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and compliance records
• Provide a professional, approachable service to residents and team members

Required profile

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance operative or in a related trade
• Strong practical skills across general maintenance disciplines
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Self‑motivated, reliable and takes ownership of tasks
