Maintenance Inventory Clerk

About the role

The Maintenance Inventory Clerk will manage and safeguard the inventory of parts, tools, and supplies used by the maintenance team. This newly created position supports the company’s operational ramp‑up and ensures that the right materials are available at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store maintenance parts and supplies in a secure, organized manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or other inventory software.
• Issue parts to technicians, track usage, and generate usage reports.
• Monitor stock levels, initiate reorders, and coordinate with vendors for pricing, quotations, deliveries, and returns.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating any discrepancies.
• Label, organize, and optimise the storeroom layout for efficiency and accessibility.
• Ensure all inventory practices comply with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in maintenance or inventory control.
• Experience working with CMMS or similar inventory management software.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic maintenance components.
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with technicians, supervisors, and suppliers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary training is a plus.
