Maintenance Manager

About the role

Eat Work Art is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of its East London sites and support all London locations. You will ensure rapid issue resolution, coordinate contractor work, and help deliver an exceptional resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities across all sites, responding promptly to issues and emergencies.
• Collaborate with community managers, front‑of‑house teams and senior management to maintain high service standards.
• Manage and continuously improve the ticketing system, tracking KPIs and reporting performance.
• Prepare annual maintenance strategy and budget, including cost‑benefit analysis.
• Maintain accurate inventory of stock and assets, and oversee contractor timesheets and invoices.
• Monitor meter readings and report to finance.
• Perform hands‑on general maintenance, construction, and plumbing tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building compliance and health & safety standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
• Availability to respond to out‑of‑hours emergencies.
