Maintenance & Repairs Plumber

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance & Repairs Plumber to join our busy team in Southampton. You will be the front‑line representative for service calls, diagnosing complex plumbing issues and delivering high‑quality repairs and routine maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer service calls and carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs, including pipework, leaky fixtures and water‑heater fault‑finding.
• Troubleshoot plumbing systems efficiently to identify root causes and provide lasting solutions.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to avoid future failures.
• Explain technical issues clearly to customers and guide them through repair options.
• Maintain accurate job logs, track time and materials, and produce detailed invoices/reports.
• Keep work areas clean and safe, and ensure tools, equipment and vehicles are well maintained.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2/3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in Plumbing.
• Valid plumbing licences/certifications.
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in repair, maintenance or service plumbing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑first mindset.
• Strong time‑management and record‑keeping abilities.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
